OUR MISSION

The Lyric uplifts and empowers the community through arts, education, and engaging
programs, providing a vibrant space for creativity, connection, and well-being. We envision a thriving cultural hub that celebrates heritage, sparks inspiration, nurtures talent, and strengthens the bonds that bring communities together. A home for creativity, culture, and community. Located in Lexington’s historic East End, the Lyric is a place where art brings people together, where stories are preserved, and where new voices rise. For generations, the Lyric has stood as a cultural landmark as one of the last Chitlin Circuit Venues, and a gathering place. Today, we continue that legacy by offering inspiring performances, impactful programs, vibrant events, and a welcoming space for everyone.
